KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. - This closeup shows the crawler-transporter (bottom) as it rolls out from under Space Shuttle Discovery and the mobile launcher platform on Launch Pad 39A. The operator can be seen in the control cab. The crawler-transporter earlier moved the Shuttle and MLP from the Vehicle Assembly Building on a six-hour journey of 3.4 miles.
