New Mexico - This concrete dugout was consturcted 50 feet from Dr. Robert Goddard's launching tower, so that an observer could watch the launching of the rocket at close range. NASA Goddard Space Flight Center enables NASA’s mission through four scientific endeavors: Earth Science, Heliophysics, Solar System Exploration, and Astrophysics.
