CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – This photo shows the Water Recovery System's rack 2, that will be delivered to the International Space Station aboard space shuttle Endeavour on the STS-126 mission. Its primary purpose is to process urine and waster water so that Waste Recovery System's rack 1 can perform the final cleanup. The two units of the Water Recovery System are designed to provide drinking-quality water through the reclamation of wastewater, including urine and hygiene wastes. The water that’s produced will be used to support the crew and work aboard the station. Endeavour and its crew of seven are scheduled to lift off at 7:55 p.m. Nov. 14 for the 15-day STS-126 mission.
