CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – In Orbiter Processing Facility-1 at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, space shuttle support personnel prepare to power down space shuttle Discovery for the last time during Space Shuttle Program transition and retirement activities. "Power down" follows the final closure of Discovery's payload bay doors. Discovery is being prepared for public display at the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum Steven F.
