The science phase of the Juno mission to the planet Jupiter is explained in a slideshow presented to Kennedy Space Center employees during a briefing by Scott Bolton, principal investigator for Juno at the Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio, Texas. NASA’s Launch Services Program, which is based at Kennedy, led the successful launch of the Juno spacecraft aboard a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket Aug. 5, 2011 from nearby Space Launch Complex 41.
