NASA’s Artemis II SLS (Space Launch System) rocket and Orion spacecraft is seen from underneath a lightning tower at Launch Complex 39B at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026. At nearly 600 feet, three towers are positioned around the perimeter of the pad to provide lightning protection for launch vehicles.
