Lopez-Alegria, mission specialist, prepares to take a familiarization flight in the rear station of a T-38 jet trainer aircraft, based at Ellington Field, near the Johnson Space Center (JSC). Lopez-Alegria was named last year as one of seven crew members for the U.S. Microgravity Laboratory (USML-2) mission.
