The aim of the Amyloid Aggregation investigation is to assess if amyloid fibrils aggregation is affected by microgravity in order to identify a possible professional risk in astronauts spending long periods on board the ISS. The knowledge gained could contribute to the designing of innovative therapeutic strategies for the treatment of Alzheimer’s Disease and for other diseases characterized by protein accumulation.
