(14 Sept. 2014) --- At their Cosmonaut Hotel crew quarters in Baikonur, Kazakhstan, the Expedition 41/42 prime and backup crew members participate in ceremonies after raising the flags of Russia, the U.S. and Kazakhstan during traditional ceremonies Sept. 14. From left to right are prime crew members Barry Wilmore of NASA, Alexander Samokutyaev of the Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) and Elena Serova of Roscosmos, and backup crew members Scott Kelly of NASA, Gennady Padalka of Roscosmos and and Mikhail Kornienko of Roscosmos. Wilmore, Samokutyaev and Serova will launch on Sept. 26, Kazakh time, in the Soyuz TMA-14M spacecraft to begin a 5 ½ month mission on the International Space Station.
