At the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center in Star City, Russia, mission trainers monitor the activities of Expedition 57 crewmembers Alexey Ovchinin of Roscosmos and Nick Hague of NASA during the first day of their Soyuz qualification exams Sept. 13. Ovchinin and Hague are scheduled to launch Oct. 11 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan on the Soyuz MS-10 spacecraft for a six month mission on the International Space Station.
