NASA Astronaut Christina Hammock Koch will be making her second flight to space on the Artemis II mission, serving as a mission specialist. Koch served as flight engineer aboard the space station for Expedition 59, 60, and 61. Koch set a record for the longest single spaceflight by a woman with a total of 328 days in space and participated in the first all-female spacewalks.

jsc2023e017055 (April 4, 2023) -- NASA astronaut Christina Koch is announced as one of four members of the Artemis II crew that will travel around the Moon. Koch was joined by fellow NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, and, and CSA (Canadian Space Agency) astronaut Jeremy Hansen during a Monday, April 3, 2023, crew announcement news conference at Ellington Field near NASA’s Johnson Space Center. The crew is comprised of Commander Reid Wiseman, Pilot Victor Glover, and Mission Specialists Christina Koch and Jeremy Hansen. The four astronauts will venture around the Moon on Artemis II, the first crewed mission on NASA’s path to establishing a long-term presence at the Moon for science and exploration through Artemis.
