STS034-10-014 (18-23 Oct. 1989) --- An onboard 35mm camera provides a closeup view of an STS-34 beverage container doubling as an experiment module for a test involving iodine concentration in onboard water.  The examination called for the adding of starch to a specimen of Atlantis' fuel-cell produced water.  The liquid was then compared against the color chart for determining the degree of iodine content.  The experiment was designed by Terry  H. Slezak of JSC's Photographic Technology and Television Division.

STS001-07-502 (12-14 April 1981) --- A smiling Robert L. Crippen, STS-1 pilot, is about to prepare a meal aboard the space shuttle Columbia in Earth orbit. Prepared meals, which need only water added, and beverages, can be seen attached to trays, which are mounted on locker doors in Columbia's middeck area. Astronaut John W. ISS036-E-007249 ( June 2013) --- European Space Agency astronaut Luca Parmitano, Expedition 36 flight engineer, creates a bubble of orange juice from a beverage dispenser in the Unity node during some of his off-duty time aboard the Earth-orbiting International Space Station. Parmitano  is scheduled to stay aboard the orbital outpost until November.

STS003-22-113 (24 March 1982) --- Astronaut Gordon Fullerton, STS-3 pilot, wearing communication kit assembly mini-headset (HDST), sleeps on aft flight deck resting his back against the floor and his feet against commander's ejection seat (S1) back. STS009-05-0153 (28 Nov. - 8 Dec. 1983) --- Though STS-9 was the space shuttle Columbia's sixth spaceflight, it was the first opportunity for an onboard galley, some of the results of which are shown in this 35mm scene on the flight deck. The metal tray makes for easy preparation and serving of in-space meals for crew members. This crewman is seated at the pilot's station on the flight deck. Gordon Fullerton, STS-3 pilot, uses both hands to retrieve part of a meal from an orbital flight test food warmer in the middeck area of the Earth-orbiting space shuttle Columbia. STS035-15-035 (2-10 Dec 1990) --- STS-35 crewmembers perform a microgravity experiment using their drinking water while on the middeck of Columbia, Orbiter Vehicle (OV) 102. Mission Specialist (MS) Jeffrey A. Hoffman (left) has released some water from a drinking container which he holds in his hand. MS John M. Lounge (wearing glasses, center) and Payload Specialist Samuel T. Durrance along with Hoffman study the changing shape and movement of the sphere of water.

S92-E-5029 (12 October 2000) --- Astronaut Koichi Wakata, sought energy from a soft beverage packet prior to fulfilling an important role with the  four scheduled STS-92 space walks and his other duties.  From the shirt sleeve environment of the the Space Shuttle Discovery, the mission specialist who represents Japan's National Space Development Agency (NASDA), went on to man the controls for the remote manipulator system (RMS) or robot arm, to assist the four space walkers as they worked on the International Space Station (ISS). This photo was recorded with an electronic still camera (ESC) on Flight Day 2.

STS105-E-5200 (15 August 2001) --- Beverages are held high in a toast onboard the Zvezda Service Module of the International Space Station (ISS) as the astronauts and cosmonauts of STS-105 and Expedition Two and Expedition Three gather for one of their first joint meals. Nearest the digital camera's lens at lower right corner is astronaut Daniel T. Barry, STS-105 mission specialist.  Others, clockwise around the table, are astronauts Scott J. Meal for Expedition Two, Three and STS-105 crews in the ISS Service Module/Zvezda
STS079-354-001 (16-26 Sept. 1996) --- Astronaut Shannon W. Lucid gets a beverage at the galley on Russia's Mir Space Station Base Block.  This photograph is one of fifteen 35mm frames (along with four 70mm frames) of still photography documenting the activities of NASA's STS-79 mission, which began with a September 16, 1996, liftoff from Launch Pad 39A the Kennedy Space Center (KSC) and ended with a landing at KSC on September 26, 1996.  Onboard for the launch were astronauts William F. Readdy, commander; Terrence W. Wilcutt, pilot; John E. Blaha, Jerome (Jay) Apt, Thomas D. Akers and Carl E. Walz, all mission specialists.  On flight day 4, the crew docked with Mir.  Lucid, who had spent six months aboard Mir, switched cosmonaut guest researcher roles with Blaha.  The latter joined fellow Mir-22 crew members Valeri G. Korzun, commander, and Aleksandr Y. Kaleri, flight engineer.
