Curbeam Jr., STS-116 mission specialist, exits the Quest Airlock of the International Space Station as he and European Space Agency (ESA) astronaut Christer Fuglesang (out of frame), mission specialist, begin the mission's fourth session of extravehicular activity (EVA) while Space Shuttle Discovery was docked with the station. Curbeam and Fuglesang worked in tandem, using specially-prepared, tape-insulated tools, to guide the array wing neatly inside its blanket box during the 6-hour, 38-minute spacewalk.

Fuglesang is with the European Space Agency. Mission STS-116 is the 19th assembly flight to the International Space Station, delivering the third port truss segment, the P5 Truss, that will be attached to the second port truss segment, the P3/P4 Truss.  The mission will also deliver the eighth expedition crew to the ISS and return Expedition 7.  STS-116 is scheduled for launch July 24, 2003.
