The bags, containing trash and excessed equipment, will be transferred to the docked Progress 45 spacecraft for disposal. The unpiloted ISS Progress 45 supply vehicle is scheduled to undock from the space station on Jan. 24, 2011.

The next homeward-bound astronauts, NASA’s Kjell Lindgren (front row right) and JAXA’s Kimiya Yui (front row left), will return to the Earth with Soyuz Commander Russian cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko (rear center) on Dec.11, 2015, officially ending the Expedition 45 mission. Russian cosmonaut Sergey Volkov (rear left) stays on board the station joining Expedition 46. Meanwhile Scott Kelly is also staying on in the station as part of the One-Year in space mission until March with fellow One-Year crew member cosmonaut Mikhail Kornienko (rear right).
