STS-98 Pilot Mark Polansky is pleased to arrive at KSC’s Shuttle Landing Facility for Terminal Countdown Test Activities. In preparation for the Jan. 19 launch, he and the rest of the crew Commander Ken Cockrell and Mission Specialists Robert Curbeam, Thomas Jones and Marsha Ivins will be training in emergency procedures from the pad, checking the payload and taking part in a simulated countdown.
