A photographer captures the Artemis V Orion crew module on Friday, July 31, 2026, inside the Neil A. Armstrong Operations and Checkout Building at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. There are currently several pieces of hardware from Artemis III, IV, and V undergoing processing at the same time inside the facility. Using the standard SLS (Space Launch System) rocket configuration, NASA expects to launch this lunar surface mission by late 2028, with subsequent missions planned roughly once per year.
